In 2021, Judi made a very generous gift to the Conservatory and Lawton Park Greenhouse from her annual IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD.) These funds are unrestricted so the facilities may use the gift for the greatest need. Judi often spends time at the greenhouse, sowing seeds and caring for the plants that later will be on display at the Conservatory and throughout Fort Wayne parks.
Her good sense and enthusiasm have served both facilities well, sharing insights that help us to better fulfill our missions. Judi celebrated her 35th anniversary of volunteer service in 2021 and gave over 100 + hours that year alone! Her generosity allows the Park Department to share the wonder of nature to be found and enjoyed at our many parks and gardens.
